Built on Craft,
Rooted in Seattle
Alltech Painting was founded by Ahmad Sarhan with a simple mission: to bring true professional standards to an industry where homeowners too often get let down by unreliable, careless contractors.
We're a locally owned, owner-operated company. Ahmad is personally involved in every project. Our crews serve residential and commercial clients throughout the greater Seattle area, trained in the prep work and finishing techniques that make the difference between a paint job that lasts two years and one that lasts fifteen.
We understand Seattle's homes: the craftsman bungalows of Queen Anne, the cedar-sided colonials of Bellevue, the historic Victorians of Capitol Hill. We know what products perform in Pacific Northwest weather, and we won't cut corners just to move to the next job.
Proudly Serving King & Snohomish Counties
We paint homes and businesses across every city in King and Snohomish counties — from Seattle's neighborhoods to the mountain towns at the edge of the Cascades. Click your city for details.

Answers Before You Ask
The questions homeowners, sellers, and property managers ask us most — with straight answers.
How long does a typical paint job take?
Most interior projects take 2–5 days, depending on square footage, prep, and the number of colors. Exteriors typically run 4–10 days and require a 2–3 day weather window for full dry time. We walk through a realistic schedule during your free estimate so you know exactly what to expect.
Do you provide free estimates?
Yes — all estimates are free, on-site, and no-pressure. We'll measure, listen to what you want, discuss colors and products, and send a detailed written quote within 24–48 hours.
What paint brands and products do you use?
We use Benjamin Moore Regal Select and Sherwin-Williams Duration and Emerald almost exclusively. These premium lines offer superior coverage, durability, and washability — and they hold up to Seattle's wet climate better than builder-grade paints.
Do I need to move my furniture or prep anything before you start?
Not really. We bring drop cloths, plastic, and tape, and we move what needs moving. We just ask that valuables and breakables be taken off walls and shelves before day one so nothing gets nicked.
How soon can I use the room after it's painted?
Walls are typically dry to the touch in 1–2 hours and safe to lean against within 24 hours. Full cure (so it stops off-gassing and is scrub-ready) is 14–30 days, but you can live normally in the space within a day.
How far in advance do I need to book?
During peak season (May through October) we often book 3–6 weeks out. Winter and early spring are usually 1–2 weeks. For time-sensitive jobs — like pre-sale painting before a home listing — call us early so we can fit your timeline.
Do you offer a warranty or guarantee?
Yes. Our workmanship is backed by a 3-year warranty covering peeling, cracking, and blistering. Manufacturer paint warranties extend beyond that. If something isn't right, we come back and make it right.
Can you help me pick colors?
Absolutely. Color consultation is included with every full-home project. We can bring large sample boards, pull recent palettes we've used in similar homes, and coordinate trim, ceiling, and accent choices to work together.
Do you paint in the winter or when it's raining?
Interior work goes year-round — rain doesn't affect it. For exteriors, we follow the paint manufacturer's temperature and moisture guidelines (typically 35°F+ and dry surfaces). We monitor the forecast closely and schedule exterior work in dry windows, which are surprisingly frequent even in Seattle winters.
What's the best time of year to paint the exterior of my home?
Late spring through early fall (May–October) offers the most reliable dry weather. That said, we paint exteriors year-round when the weather cooperates — some of our best work happens in crisp, dry February stretches. Book early for peak season.
Do you accept payment out of escrow if I'm selling my home?
Yes — we regularly work with home sellers and their real estate agents, and we accept payment out of escrow at closing. Just let us know you're selling, and we'll coordinate directly with your escrow officer so your home can be painted and ready to list without requiring cash upfront. It's a common arrangement and one we've completed many times.
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured — and can you provide proof?
Yes. Alltech Painting is a Washington State licensed contractor, fully bonded, and carries general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We're happy to email you a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming you or your property manager as additional insured before work begins — just ask when we send your quote.
